In July 1947, only eight double-unit railcars were operational, but by 1948, this number had increased to twelve. Their main areas of operation were Güsten, Eberswalde, and the Gräfenroda - Gotha branchline
By the end of 1950, all vehicles had been taken out of service, bringing the era of these railcars at the DR (East German Railways) to a rather swift end. Most of the double-unit railcars were subsequently converted into passenger coaches, some were rebuilt with new superstructures
This is the mechanism, it was based on the Piko VT railbus, it will be removed and replaced with a pair of free running wheels.
After the motor drive has been removed, the twin-set will receive a coupling at each end and some paint.
